Job Description

We’re looking to add a technical venture analyst who is as passionate about the crypto asset space as we are, and for whom spending all day immersed in the leading projects in the space represents a dream job. Strong knowledge of the space is a must. This includes technical and economic factors, as well as specific verticals such as DeFi, crypto markets, or NFTs. Our ideal candidate is analytical and independent thinker, comfortable challenging viewpoints or having their opinions challenged. A quantitative background inclusive of computer science and financial modelling experience is a must have in addition to proficiency in English with strong written and oral communication skills.

Job Responsibilities

As a technical venture analyst you will be an active member of the investment team working on the full life-cycle of making investments including:  conducting protocol due diligence, proactive analysis, identifying investment opportunities, and supporting our portfolio companies from a technical perspective.

Additional responsibilities may include

  • Perform codebase reviews of portfolio companies source code
  • Gain a thorough understanding of solidity (and other language) smart contract development
  • Own problems that we and/or our portfolio companies have yet to discover, checking in with appropriate stakeholders, defining requirements for an effective solution, and then bringing that solution to life

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ months of experience in blockchain engineering or solidity security
  • Basic understanding of the Ethereum Virtual Machine and Yellow Paper
  • Basic fluency in Solidity development and deployment of smart contracts
  • Can succinctly summarize their viewpoints orally or in writing

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in smart contract development
  • Extensive experience interacting with Dapps
  • Basic familiarity with the most common smart contracts vulnerabilities (reentrancy, front-running, arithmetic issues)
  • Professional experience with Rust/Python/Typescript 
  • Comfortable building financial/economic models
